Is feature recognition the same as associative toolpaths?
Nearly. Apart from the link between toolpaths and geometries in AlphaCAM-SW (which runs inside SolidWorks) all AlphaCAM Advanced modules include Associative Toolpaths. If the design has been done in AlphaCAM (or input from any CAD system) and any change is made to the design in AlphaCAM (deleting, moving, scaling, etc.), the toolpaths can be updated immediately to reflect the change.
