Jobsite Companion Speeds Up Design To Manufacturing Process

First Irish user of new software from Cabinet Vision

PDAKitchen and bedroom furniture manufacturer Celtic Classics of Co. Tipperary, Ireland, is the first customer in Europe to install Cabinet Vision’s newly introduced Jobsite Companion device for collecting and storing on-site data.

The company which recently purchased the full Cabinet Vision CNC package, will use the software to carry out site surveys and create design drawings for customers. Quotations, costings, cutting lists, bills of materials and nested CNC programmes – can then be generated from the drawings for their new Biesse flatbed router machine.

Running on a PDA device, Jobsite Companion enables manufacturers to input furniture/room dimensions on site, take notes, mark electrical locations and attach digital photographs. The data can then be fed directly to their Cabinet Vision design and CNC manufacturing programs.

This easy to use software tool speeds up the design to manufacture process, allowing information to be gathered at source by professional organisations, using a single point of entry of data and eliminating costly translation errors.  The new device underlines Cabinet Vision’s commitment to supplying technology that supports the woodworking industry in providing the detailed data required to accurately bid on projects, thereby helping users to increase their competitiveness.
