Cabinet Vision Software Helps Educational Furniture Manufacturer to Top Class Performance
Leading CAD/CAM specialist Alphacam has secured a series of major orders at the recent Wood and uPVC Machinery Exhibition in Dublin, making the event one of the most successful in the company’s 2007 exhibition calendar.
Valued at tens of thousands of pounds, the contracts reflect the capabilities of the company’s Alphacam and Cabinet Vision software as well as the current buoyancy of the Irish woodworking market.
“Visitors to our stand came from across the sector - including joiners, kitchen suppliers, stair producers, furniture manufacturers and cabinet makers,” says Michael Pettit, sales manager for Ireland. “The orders we took reflect a growing need for manufacturers to streamline their operations in order to maintain a competitive edge.
“We also ran programs for all the major CNC equipment manufacturers on their stands and several machines programmed with our software were sold at the exhibition. It was our most successful Irish show to date and we will certainly be re-booking our stand on the strength of this year’s achievement.”
Visitors to the exhibition saw for themselves why Alphacam’s V7 has established itself as the benchmark CAD/CAM system for joinery applications ranging from 2D fascia doors to complex 5-axis furniture parts. Among modules highlighted on the Alphacam stand was Alphastair, a comprehensive application that allows staircases to be designed, costed, quoted and manufactured using a single software program.
In parallel, the company’s Cabinet Vision system provides a comprehensive end-to-end solution, enabling photorealistic 3D representations of finished products - or even complete room sets - to be created and then automatically converted to NC code for hundreds of nested parts on hundreds of sheets, if required.
