The AlphaCAM Mill module is available at the following levels:
The AlphaCAM Advanced Milling module is the ideal CAD/CAM system for machine shops and subcontractors. It offers considerable potential for programming horizontal or vertical machining centres, with 3 axis plus 2 positioning axis.
New Operating InterfaceThe new operating interface, in a Windows compliant environment, is simple and intuitive. This makes the generation of NC code an easy task and helps to ensure the quality of the code. The Advanced Milling module is intended to be the best compromise between performance and investment. It offers a level of functionality already oriented towards 3D. As well as a complete list of commands for 2D management, it offers 3D design and surface machining functions that easily meet all first level 3D requirements.

The AlphaCAM 3 Axis Milling module is the ideal CAD/CAM system for machining moulds. It offers considerable potential for programming horizontal or vertical machining centres, with 3 axis plus 2 positional axes.
New Operating InterfaceThe new operating interface, in a Windows compliant environment, is simple and intuitive. This makes the generation of NC code an easy task and helps to ensure the quality of the code. The 3 Axis Milling module is provided with a comprehensive level of functionality for the management of 3D problems, from the acquisition of mathematical values from external CAD modellers, to the milling of surfaces up to the completion of the mould base with classical 2D operations. The strategies offered for toolpath creation in a 3D range are varied and complete, allowing the user to identify and achieve with precision the best result in relation to each individual detail.

AlphaCAM 5-Axis provides the ideal CAD/CAM solution for companies looking for a reliable, easy to use simultaneous 5 Axis solution.
New Operating InterfaceThe new user interface, in a Windows compliant environment, is simple and intuitive. This makes the generation of NC code an easy task and helps to ensure the quality of the code. Simplify the complexities of 5-Axis CNC machining by using AlphaCAM’s Advanced 3D 5-Axis CAD/CAM software. Built upon the solid foundation of Licom’s quick to learn and simple to use AlphaCAM 3-Axis modules, it allows the user to release the full potential of their 5-Axis CNC machine tool. From a head mounted tilt and swivel robotic spindle to a trunion unit, mounted on the table of a vertical machining centre, any machine tool configuration is supported. 2, 2.5 D and drilling toolpaths can be generated at any angle, and because of AlphaCAM’s powerful post processing capabilities the plane rotation functionality of any CNC controller supported. Multiple complex 3D machining strategies can also be carried out at any angle, referred to as 3 plus 2, this technique allows for more areas of a 3D model to become accessible by the tool, and with AlphaCAM’s ability to use an STL stock model of any shape results in ‘fresh air’ cuts being kept to a minimum when multiple depth contour roughing. 4 and 5-Axis simultaneous machining can be simply generated and constrained so, for example, blind cavities can be cut without the tool shank fouling their entrance. Tool side surface machining allows for forward facing walls, often found in the aerospace industry, to be cut. Multiple tool lead-in/lead-out options allow for the tool to approach and leave the part safely. Trimming is achieved by machining Splines and 3D Polylines with the tool at any fixed angle, or alternatively normal to their nearest surface. The tool angle of the resulting paths can be easily edited at any point, combined with AlphaCAM’s powerful visualisation tools, potential collisions can be quickly identified and avoided before the part reaches the CNC machine tool. |
